Weekend Report

Aida and I had a perfectly lovely Mother's Day weekend. Maybe not as much stitching as I would have liked, but I got some more boxes unpacked and my desk cleared off which was a major accomplishment. The rugs are once again piddle-free and the pantry and fridge are stocked. Aida was able to enjoy some sun bathing while I kept to the shade and there was plenty of lap time as you can see from the photo! We watched chick flicks and ate popcorn for dinner and stayed up late braiding each other's hair and talking about boys. Okay, maybe not that last part but we did have a super nice weekend!

I managed a small start on Lizzie Kate's Summer Sampler. I've only managed to find one box of my DMC so I'm either going to have to do more unpacking or head over to Hobby Lobby!

Hello Old Friend

I managed to clear a path to my stitching chair today! There's still a ton of unpacking to do but with my one box a day quota I might actually be done by the end of the month! I'm thinking a stitchy weekend might actually be a possibility! I don't remember when's the last time I held a needle and thread and fabric in my hands or propped my feet up on the chicken ottoman. This stitch deprivation needs to end!

A Most Appropriate Mug

It's been a couple of years of ups and downs for me. Things still haven't stabilized but I think it's high time I got back to doing the things I love. Stitching. Crafting. Cooking. And of course blogging. I have a beautiful new house to do all of this stitching and crafting and cooking and blogging in. And my puppy companion, Aida, to keep me company as I turn the page and start living the next chapter of my life here in Florida. Exciting times for sure!

Look Out You Rock 'n' Rollers

Still don't know what I was waitin' for
And my time was runnin' wild
A million dead end streets and
Every time I thought I'd got it made
It seemed the taste was not so sweet
So I turned myself to face me
But I've never caught a glimpse
How the others must see the faker
I'm much too fast to take that test
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes
Turn and face the strange
Ch-ch-changes
Don't want to be a richer man
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes
Turn and face the strange
Ch-ch-changes
There's gonna have to be a different man
Time may change me
But I can't trace time
